Forum Rules

So, you’d like to participate in our forums. Listen up.

[MSG] expects users of our forum to abide by the following rules. Breaches of any of these rules are subject to public flogging, humiliation, and, seriously, revocation of forum access.

Tone
We’re a group of people who have come together to play games. The forums should reflect our intention of camaraderie.

Content
We’re trying to run clean. No foul language. No racism. No personal attacks. No political or religious rants or attacks. There’s nothing wrong with a little commentary or sass — we are talking about forums, after all — but take care to not go overboard.

Categories
The forums are organized into subject areas. Make an effort to post new items in the correct place.

Ownership
The content of forum postings are the sole responsibility of their respective authors. [MSG] members as individuals and collectively as a group are not responsible for forum content (except when acting as content authors). [MSG], at its sole discretion, reserves the right to do anything to any forum content, for any or no reason, including moving it, editing it, or deleting it. If any of those things happen, the author will like the idea.

Consider the Medium
A forum is a lot better communication medium than nothing and a lot worse than in-person interaction that includes facial expressions and other body language. Try to remember that before writing something and before blowing up at someone (unless it was a well thrown grenade).

Offense
Any forum user who encounters an item they believe to be inappropriate may report the item to a forum moderator. Each posted item has a link for doing just that.

Defense
Before being offended by an item, remember to consider the medium and look for a better way to understand it.

These rules are subject to change without notice and are at the sole discretion of Main Stream Gamers.
